1ST HALF: LESSONS FROM MENTORS

Awareness comes first.

Before you can become a leader – you have to learn how to follow.

My first mentor asked me the following question – What are angry about?

I will grow through mentoring others.

Our job is to help them unlock their goals – no give them goals.

3 C’s for Emerging Leaders – Simple Steps to develop the emerging leaders.

Character – Courage – Communication

HALFTIME – THE KEY POINTS TO HELP YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY

BOOK: Colin Powell – It works for me in Life and Leadership

DAILY HABIT: Input and output – I ready every day and then I write it and post it to the social meeting.  If I don’t give to others I am not using it.

QUOTE:  Abraham Lincoln – The best way to predict your future is to create.

2nd HALF: OVERCOMING FAILURE

My journey into “Leadership” has been tough.

Building relationships have been my biggest failure.

I was managing the task and not building relationships.

Time management – I now schedule my time.

Multitasking is not multitasking – it not putting enough time into one activity.

IN THE LOCKER ROOM – LEGACY QUESTIONS

MOST EXCITED ABOUT: I am working on a book. When I can put the knowledge between my ears on to paper I can start to leave a legacy.

NEED TO KNOW TO GROW:  Invest in yourself.  Don’t what for people to come along and help you.
