PREGAME: MEET COACH MO
Coach Mo was named the head coach of the Southern Mississippi women’s soccer program in 2012, after a long and distinguished career in the world of soccer. Over the last five years, he has turned the program around. He has been involved in college soccer for the last 20 years. He also had stints as a DOC in Alabama as well as a coaching in the women’s professional ranks.

DAILY HABIT: I wake up early, before everyone, and spend time reflecting on the day before it starts. I work at putting my priorities in order.
MEASURING STICK: I want to make sure I am spending quality time with my family. I want to make sure I am bringing new ideas to my team on a regular basis. At the end of the day, I want to make sure I am helping those around me.

2nd HALF: OVERCOMING FAILURE
When I became focused on the outcome I lost my emotions and I lost my team.
I realized there was more to the game when I felt miserable after a win. I needed to start focusing on the process and not the result.
I got out of the college game for a period of time and coach in the youth market. It made me better.
Sometimes you need to take a step backward to take two steps forward.

AH HA MOMENT: What we do is about people and not kicking a soccer ball.
WHAT EXCITES YOU TODAY: I am doing what I enjoy. I am at peace with myself. Results don’t define who I am.
NEED TO KNOW TO GROW: Be honest with yourself. Don’t put limits on yourself. Be humble and have humility.
