VOLTA continues to bring leadership to the forefront of sports with The Peak Performance Mentor Podcast. This engaging and informative podcast is a “must-hear” for the coach, athlete, administrator, and sports fan who wants to dig deep beyond simply winning and the X’s and O’s. This show keeps pace with the most successful influencers in the sports world and delivers insight on the highly effective habits leading to their “ah-ha” moments.

Recently my 10-year-old son old asked me why I started the podcast. What a great question. During my 20-year tenure as a college coach, I continually studied the actions and behaviors of successful individuals, coaches, and teams. All successful coaches have five fundamental practices in common.

  • They have a mentor or coach that places another perspective on their own thoughts – stretching and growing them beyond the Xs and Os.
  • They embrace failure and adversity as an opportunity to become more successful.
  • They engage in daily habits that keep them grounded in their professional and personal lives.
  • They are continually reading and studying the thoughts of others to up-level their own thinking.
  • They leave a legacy for others by sharing their knowledge and giving back to the game.

On September 12, 2017, VOLTA aired Episode 00 for The Peak Performance Mentor Podcast. Each week we interview coaches, sports industry experts and leadership gurus to mentor you beyond the X’s and 0’s on your quest to achieve Peak Performance in your personal life, professional career, and with the teams that you coach. Our format is simple.
