Kansas City, MO, June 28, 2017– Eight companies from across the US, have come together in what is being hailed as a ‘first of its kind alliance’ to provide unprecedented support to the game of soccer in North America. The companies provide a wide variety of services in youth soccer ranging from coaching education to administrative support. They have pledged to work together to improve youth soccer in North America one soccer organization at a time.
Ryan Hodgson, US Coaches Club Co-Founder and Director of Coaching Education brought these companies together. He sees a growing need from his experience working for and with organizations of all sizes.
“There has been a lot of change recently within the US Soccer community. Many clubs and leagues have been left to their own devices with birth year mandates, small sided games changes, more stringent education policies, and more. I don’t think we are done with mandates. We can’t forget about the smaller clubs. We are going to provide amazing support from board programing and governance, to leadership training, to professional back office support…”
The eight founding companies in the Solving Soccer Alliance have established a resource website at SolvingSoccer.com. This will provide organizational resources, as well as a one-stop portal to locate valuable support services from individual companies and collaborative service offerings between companies. Initial joint service offerings include the announcement of a collaborative coaching education program between Challenger Sports and US Coaches Club and the launching of the monthly administrative training webinar series GO! On Board with Sports Office 365, a joint venture between Soccer Office and GO! Governance and Operations.
Ruth Nicholson, founder of GO! and the Solving Soccer Alliance facilitator explains:
“The founders and CEOs of the companies in the Alliance want to bring improved services to our soccer organizations across the country. They understand the needs and the pain points of their customers and are passionate about finding creative and affordable ways to meet these needs. Those of us at GO! are pleased to be a part of a range of services that touch so many aspects of the sport, including player, coach, and organizational needs.”
The eight founding companies met for their first meeting on June 12th and 13th in Kansas City at the Challenger Sports headquarters. The organizations are SoccerOffice.com, VOLTA Sports and Leadership, College Fit Finder, Challenger Sports, American Soccer League, ACES Nation, GO! Governance & Operations, and US Coaches Club.

As the founder and CEO of VOLTA Sports and Leadership, DeVries has developed the premier coaching, recruiting and sports leadership program called, AOS – The Athlete of Significance. The AOS Platform is a comprehensive eLearning platform for coaches, student-athletes, and parents who are engaged in, or are getting ready to start, the college recruiting process. The AOS Program is not your standard college advisory program. AOS will go beyond just placing a student-athlete in front of college coaches. AOS will help the student-athletes prepare for the ultimate goal of presenting their significance to the coaches.
